Last flight of this routing.

I did walk between the two terminals. Connections were not considered when they built the Afrijet terminal away from the international terminal.

Frequent flyers and business class passengers have access to this dedicated check-in area with almost zero wait. Entrance of the area is controlled.

Passport control is upstairs. There are not so many passengers currently.

This is advertising for e-gates that I have never seen working

The entrance of the lounge is located after the security checkpoint.

There are different zones where you can seat. I won't stay long because the flight is almost boarding. I didn't eat but I took some water, you can have juices, soda, beer and wine at the buffet. Liquors are served at the bar.
There was one hot dish but food was lacking compared to the usual service. I only took a bottle of water.

I like the decoration

Tonight flight is not full. All doors are used for boarding, one for zone 1&2, one for zone 3 and one for zone 4&5.

The jetway is almost blind

photo 20240124_220200

There is only one window that allows plane pictures to be taken.

In LBV there can only be one gangway on door 1L, we first pass through the Business class cabin

Tonight seat in the Premium Economy cabin.

photo 20240124_220747

Pillow and blanket are already on the seat. They are a bit comfier than the ones in Economy.

The seat control remote with a touchpad and the reclining buttons are located in the central armrest.

photo 20240124_220809

The screen is large and responsive, an USB socket can be used to charge electronic devices. A real electrical socket is also available in the central armrest. The legroom is good and there is a footrest. A water bottle (brand : Evian) is also available.

The amenity kit is distributed before pushback.

Push back and taxi.

The safety video is shown on every screen.

Take off from Libreville.

Meal service. There is a real glass and iron cutlery.

photo 20240124_234420

The main dish is beef with mashed potatoes. I find it a bit disappointing but we are not departing Paris so I understand that local catering can be below expectations.

Cruising above the Sahara desert. I love the Air France logo on the engine and he wingtip.

photo 20240125_060230

The recliner seats are really confortable. I'll sleep so well that I'll miss the breakfast but I'm not missing much because it was the disappointing "Bon Appétit" bag.

Descent to Paris.

Cabin lights are dimmed for landing. Passengers can use the screens to watch the landing.

photo 20240125_060544

Disembarking is quite fast but there is some walk to the immigration control. It is early morning , the terminal seems really clean.

photo 20240125_062201

There will be some wait at immigration, it took me roughly 20 minutes to get through.

As I do not have checked luggage I'll be out of CDG in less than 40 minutes. Not too bad.

Conclusion

Finally arrived after three flights.

AF: W seat in A350 is really confortable and entertainment is top. However that second meal in bag has to change and drinks could be different from Y.
LBV: Average. Maybe I'll see the e-gates working before 2030. Access only by car but airport is downtown. No connection possible from domestic flight, you have to walk yourself between terminals.
CDG: Decent.

AF's newer W seats look so much more comfortable than the old fixed-shell seats. I like the idea of fixed shell because it preserved space around you, but the recline didn't really feel like recline so it was really hard to get comfortable for sleeping on a night flight.

      Hi, thanks for commenting.
Yes, those recliner seats are much better than the previous ones.
The legroom is large enough so you feel confortable even if the seat in front of you reclines.
